13 Aug. 2018: Beautiful mansion, peaceful and quiet stay. I would highly recommend this to any other travellers who might venture to Hobart.
Well-preserved heritage architecture; very comfortable and the free port was a very generous plus!

22 Jun. 2018: We enjoyed our stay in this grand old heritage building with its big wide staircase and big rooms. It had a lovely old world atmosphere. It’s extremely well located within walking distance of Hampden Rd (2 minutes) and Salamanca Place. There’s ample parking. It’s self check in with a key pad and no staff on premises except in mornings. There’s a continental breakfast provided, port in the lounge room which we enjoyed sipping after a long day walking around Hobart and all the Dark Mofo events. It was a very beautiful mansion in its day and it felt very homely. It’s a little bit tired now but not offensively so. We would definitely stay here again.

18 Mar. 2018, Birger: Exciting building. Cozy house with a nice atmosphere. We had a small room, but it had a large bathroom with jazussi. The breakfast was very good. A nice buffet, with 3 kinds of cereal, fruit, yogurt, nuts and raisins. 3 kinds of bread, speck eggs, scrambled eggs, sausages and lean bacon. Recommendation Worthy.

The building has been beautifully restored and renovated keeping a lot of its original features. Only 6 or 7 suites so it was boutique accommodation at its best. Comfortable, grand, seven minute stroll through historical Battery Point to Salamanca Terrace.
