Covid vaccine does not stop transmission says AMA President Omar Khorshid

We want to be able to enjoy the delights of travel again without vaccinations and without restrictions.

Key points:

  • Vaccines do not prevent you getting the virus or passing it on
  • You can still have a positive PCR test
  • Airlines might expect people to be vaccinated
  • Government not informing people of the risks

We want members to be free to travel without being forced to get vaccinated by something that at best reduces symptoms but at worst could be extremely dangerous.

We want the fun and carefree days of travel to return. The governments here and elsewhere however are insisting on making that difficult by doing what they think is popular, not what is sensible. And very few people are arguing with them. Those that do on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, including world experts are shut down.

Let's get to some facts...

AMA (Australian Medical Association) President Omar Khorshid in an interview on Sky News today said the main aim of the COVID-19 vaccine rollout is to prevent serious illness as there is not enough data to indicate receiving the jab could lead to herd immunity.

Most concerning is what Khorshid said regarding what the vaccine actually does:

"The vaccine only reduces severe symptoms."

Given that 99.9% of people in Australia only have mild symptoms is this really enough justification for a vaccine and extended state of emergency?

So the question is: "Why are some airlines, starting with Qantas, considering requiring evidence of vaccination?" There is a strong push for use of a "vaccine passport".

Since it does not stop transmission and does not stop a person getting the virus or even from getting a positive PCR test - what on earth is the point?

What are the risks?

CDC VAERS Report

Of even greater concern is that fact that the Australian government is not making people fully aware of the risks. According to CDC VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System) - To end Feb. 2021 approx. 2,000 people have died in the USA or are permanently disabled from Covid 19 vaccine adverse events.

World Health Organisation does not support what the airlines want to do...

World Health Organization's position on this...

"At the present time, it is WHO’s position that national authorities and conveyance operators should not introduce requirements of proof of COVID-19 vaccination for international travel as a condition for departure or entry."

What you can do:

If you are as concerned as we are, please print this article and post it to the federal member for your electorate. Outline your concerns and ask them to answer the questions raised regarding the reasons why they continue to push the vaccine for everyone and not just the most vulnerable. Ask the member to help discourage airlines from setting unnecessary restrictions.
