Emerald Sands Apartments, Surfers Paradise, Queensland
Overall this is a very good quality resort in a great position. Keep in mind that Gold Coast holiday apartments typically vary in standard because each one is individually owned and whilst some owners renovate and maintain a high standard, others don't.
Management very friendly and helpful. Good proximity to beach and location made it less noisy than hotels closer to Cavil Ave/ main hwy. Two balconies which both had great views. Shower water pressure not brilliant but ok. Booking a taxi was a simple push of a button at reception and arrived within 5 minutes. Car park space was in back corner and a little tricky to get into and had leaking drain above it.

This was my first stay at Emerald Sands and I will definitely return. The apartment was clean and tidy and the view was beautiful. I often stay in the heart of Surfers Paradise and it is always noisy however Emerald Sands was very peaceful. I also enjoyed the walk into Surfers every day.

The location was amazing cute little apartment block hidden at the end of the boulevard.. straight across from surfers beach and short walk into the city centre. The children and I had the best time wish we could of stayed longer..

It was at a very good location ..100m to beach very private and quiet. Very central to trams and surfers. A little gem amongst the high rise.

Tania was really good. Welcoming, friendly, helpful, good information. Very helpful when we needed an extra towel and our kettle stopped working. Couldn't have been better. Kitchen was good with everything we needed. Location was great and we had very good ocean views. Disliked - Just disappointed with the level of cleanliness of the apartment. The ceiling fans were covered in dust, (I did a quick clean of the one in the living area as we couldn't stand seeing the dust on it), the filter in the washing machine was full of lint, so I cleaned that too. The grout on the shower walls was quite mouldy, a long strip of silicon had come off the bottom of the shower recess and was just floating around, (maybe 20-30cm?), the cold water tap in the bathroom made a horrible sound when you turned it on, unless you turned it on quite hard, using far too much water. There were hairs on the floor of the bathroom when we arrived, there was visible dust or fluff around the carpet edges of the walk in robe, there was makeup or tomato sauce on one of the door architraves from the bathroom, which we cleaned off.

Everything you needed in The apartment. A little outdated but very comfortable. Tanya on the front desk was lovely and very helpful. The refrigerator was old and rusty on the door but worked well.
